Alliance Events - July 2008    

              The next social will be at the home of Brad & Jeff in Wausau on Saturday, July 19.  We will begin the social with a steering committee meeting at 5 P.M. at which all are welcome. 

              Yard games and enjoying the company of others will be on tap. We plan to eat at about 6:30.  Following the social, you may want to continue on to Oz for the evening.

              As for food, those with last names beginning with A - H can bring a main dish.  Those from I - P can bring a side dish and those from P - Z can bring a dessert.  Soft drinks will be provided.

               How to get there?   On Interstate 39 turn off at the Sherman Street (Exit 191) turnoff.  You need to turn east (coming from the north, turn left -- coming from the south, turn right) onto Sherman Street for .4 mile.  Take a right onto South 17th Avenue for .3 mile.  Turn right onto Walnut Street for .1 mile.  You'll be at 1805 Walnut Street.  If you get lost, call 848-1728 and they'll reel you in.

Central Pride Fest 2008

         The Central Pride Committee is working on the details of this year's Pride Event.  It will be held at the Amherst Fairgrounds on August 2.

             Call for Presenters

       And Workshop Participants -- 

  October 10th & 11th for the 5th Annual LGBTQ Empowerment Summit at University of Wisconsin -Marinette. This year’s theme is Pride at the Polls. This conference is open to all including students, faculty, staff, and non-university affiliated community members. The conference will feature dozens of workshops, multiple keynote speakers, and film screenings. The fee for people who are not a current student at a United Council member campus is $20 and will include the cost of your food on Saturday. Club Activities

Dinner Club --  getting together as a group at a member's home, preparing and enjoying the dinner together. (Currently no contact - wanna do it?)
